1998. Rod Stewart “Gasoline Alley”, now on CD.
This was the second solo album by Rod Stewart, and the first one I played on. It was recorded at Morgan Studios in Willesden, North London and released in 1970. It is included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. The Vertigo Labeled album was re-mastered and re-issued in 2008 by Lilith record. I played bass on “Cut Across Shorty”, and piano on “Country Comforts”. Ron Wood played on all Rod’s early English albums before he joined the Rolling Stones. — with Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood, Micky Waller, Ian McLagan and Martin Quittenton.
