1974. “Son, Son”

Mike Hart

  • Release 1974

Mike Hart. “Son, Son”. Produced by poet & musician Pete Brown. Pete Sears played bass. Decca Records.

I just found this old 45 rpm lying in a drawer. This was a session I played on for my old friend and “Cream” lyricist Pete Brown. Pete was producing this record for his old 1960’s fellow Liverpool Beat Poet, Mike Hart.
US beat poet Allen Ginsberg called Liverpool at this period “the centre of the consciousness of the human universe.”
Pete lived in London and co-wrote with Jack Bruce many of Cream’s most distinctive songs including…”White Room”, Politician”, “Sunshine of your e”, “I Feel Free”.
This single was released on the Decca Records “Deram label.
