1988. Nez B & DV8. May 9th. Fillmore West

I was recently given this CD that I didn’t know existed. It’s of the wonderful Reggae singer “Nez B” (Ernesto Brown) and the band DV8 performing “One More Innocent” at the Fillmore West, in San Francisco.
“One More Innocent” was the song I wrote with Jeannette that “Starship” felt was too controversial for the “Knee Deep In The Hoopla” album and the bands new pop direction. I left the band right after.
Nez B & DV8’s version is fantastic. I had recorded the song on my “Watchfire” album which included musicians like, Jerry Garcia, Mickey Hart, and Baba Olatunji and his African Drummers.
I sang (after a fashion) the song as a duet with Holly Near. — with Jeannette L Sears.
