We recorded this album at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco.
I played keyboards all night with various guest keyboardists joining in, including Vince Wellnick and Nicky Hopkins.
I have a review written by famed Jazz critic Phil Elwood for the San Francisco Examiner saying how much he enjoyed listening to Nicky and me trade off licks in the solo section of “Mercury Blues”.
Bobby Vega also shared bass duties with John Kahn and others.
Nicky was an amazing musician and a good friend.
