Pete Sears Plays With Louisiana Love Act

Louisiana Love Act is a New Orleans inspired nitty gritty Blues, Rock & Soul band founded by singer/songwriter Phil Colombatto in New Orleans, La in collaboration with John Fohl (Dr.John & The Lower 911), bassist Sam Price (The Island Swamp Band) drummer Derrick Freeman (Kermit Ruffins & the BBQ swingers, trumpeter Wendell Brunious (Preservation Hall Jazz Band) pianist Nelson Lunding, and other local greats.

In 2016 after playing a west coast run together with drummer Greg Anton, (Bay Area novelist, attorney/activist, and founding member of the iconic California jam band Zero) the two began collaboration on a new record of original material written by Colombatto, Anton, and Grateful Dead/Zero/Dinosaurs lyricist Robert Hunter, set for release in June 2017. Topping it all off are 4 piece horn section arrangements composed by the prolific New Orleans saxophonist Jason Mingledorff (veteran Louisiana Love Act collaborator currently playing Baritone Sax with St. Paul & the Broken Bones) Other contributors to the new record or the road include Robin Sylvester (Ratdog) Pete Sears (Hot Tuna) Ivan Neville (Dumpstaphunk) Steve Kimock (Zero) Mark Karan (Ratdog) and the legendary B3ist Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band).

Louisiana Love Act will be making there debut performance at The Mint with special guest guitarist Jimmy Vivino (J.V. & The Black Italians/The Fab Faux) LLA bring a party and a boatload of soul to every show.
